Fish Farmers of Ohio Association Membership Application

As a member of the Fish Farmers of Ohio Association I understand and agree to adhere to the following bylaws:

As a member of Fish Farmers of Ohio Association, all members agree not to start new, competing fish farmers' organization. All members are also prohibited to create competitive markets through direct selling to establish markets. Members are encouraged to sell to niche markets or to other markets than those currently within the association.

As a member of Fish Farmers of Ohio Association, all members agree to not sell fish to illegal markets. Therefore, Fish Farmers of Ohio Association offers a reward of $1,000 of the identification and conviction of illegal fish sales, including farmed or wild fish.

Fish Farmers of Ohio Association reserve the right to deny membership to any person(s) who does not adhere to the foundations of the association.

As member of the Fish Farmers of Ohio Association it is agreed that member benefits will not be shared with non-members. Possible member benefits could include the following:

Receipt of published newsletters including other pertinent information
New Farmer support and expectations outline
Coordination of harvesting schedules
Coordination of fingerling distribution
Economies of scale for purchases of food and equipment
Identification of markets for sale of fish
Identification and dissemination of disease information
Access to back-up equipment and support
Catastrophe support
Quality control standardization
